I use a bottle of lucas stablizer. I'm not sure, but my buddy claims it sounds a little smoother. I use it because they claim that it wont all drain when you shut off the engine and you will have a little oil up in the components during cold start. If thats true, its worth it to me. I was actually planning on putting some in my atf when I changed out the trans fluid cause a buddy of mine told me that it makes the shifts smoother. I guess I'll wait on the df guys' opinions before I do.

I don't use any oil additives. Motor oil alreadycontains many additives in addition to the base stock, and I figure that Amsoil has already determined which ones are best for a diesel engine.

I use motorkote in my oil. They recommend that you put it in every 3rd change. If you go to motorkote.com they have aballbearing test on lubricity so far this product has never been beaten.A lot of tractortrailer drivers use it.He recommends thatyour motor have at least 10-12,000mi on it.
