Default 5.0 vs Cummins

I have a friend who wants to race against me with his stock 92 mustang automatic. Do you think I have a chance on beating him in a 1/4 mile race, my truck is a 03has the Hypertech 3 and is on the third stage. Is it worth me beating on my truck?

Keep in mined a 96 Cobra is a hell of a lot faster than a 92 mustang 5.slow Im not saying that you will win but a few more mods and you got em.

Its hard to say. Is the mustang stock, 5-speed or auto, can the guy drive? I mean thoes old mustang 5.SLOWs are NOT fast. atleast there not in stock form. I think there only in the low 15's in the 1/4 maby high 14's with a good driver. Also im not all that fermiliar with the programer you have. I know I would feel safe running my truck agenst one. But like I sed befor a few more mods and you got em. that is unless it is got some $$$ under the hood. I think you should race him just for the hell of it. who knows you might just embarrasshim.

Im not truing to step on any toes hear. But like I sed. In STOCK form they are not fast. Granted you don't have to drop a lot of $$$ to wake them up.

I agree a lot of good after market parts. The mustang is the one ford I respect. I still have my 72 mach-1.
