The only downside I can see to the design of the hellwigs is if I wanted to go run some trails where I would want more flex, the overload sptings might get in the way of the amount of flex the truck naturally has.

 

the only springs that wont do that are the add-a-leaf type. but then again the hellwigs look like they can easily be unbolted.

 

Yeah, that's what i was looking at too. The part I really like about them is the progressive spring rate and the fact they claim level ride at 3500 lbs of weight. I know I am hauling a crap load of weight, I would rather it not look like it.

 

I have the hellwigs on my truck and i love 'em. They were easy to install and work quite well. The progressive rate is nice so you aren't knocking your teeth out all the time and they are adjustable also. I would think you could remove them pretty quickly to, if you are going for a little more flex. The price really makes them worth a shot in my book.

i can't really remember which ones i have, but i have loaded it with firewood, bags of concrete, lumber, etc.,and it hardly squats and rides so nice. I have also towed a 35' gooseneck with 2 jeeps on it on a 6 hour round trip and my truck felt as steady as ever.

 

Nice, I think Hellwig's are definitely the route I am going
