Default Power Service additive

I thinkin about running power service with every fillup. How many people consistently run it and is it worth it.

It works really well. And adding 2 cycle oil will lower engine noise. I ran a straight tank of fuel without oil and noticed a big difference in cab noise.

My 04 has a 111k on it and I rarely use an additive and she purrs like a kitten. I only use PSD in the winter months when Im not driving much. Its all in how much $$$$ you want to blow

was it mayfair that posted the link to test results from different additives? someone did.. and i think they were only using 8oz of PS .. so i am considering trying a tank of 8oz PS and 8oz 2-stroke.. i buy the cheap super-tech 2-stroke from walmart.. make sure you dont run synthetic.. otherwise.. any tc-w3 2-stroke is fine

Personally I do not believe it's beneficial to run it every tank. It's a good maintenance tool, and a good anti-gel. But it doesn't improve performance or mileage that I have seen IMHO.

I run PS in every tank, simply because unlike gasoline for Diesel fuel there is NO mandatory federal standard for hte fuel going in our tanks. There are recommendations and guidelines, and many states have mandatory standards, but nothing that applies equally all over the country.

I did a test not too long after getting my truck... with & without... ~1.0 mpg better with. but that was before we lost the LSD here in CA... since then it does not seem to make a difference

hum. . .thats odd since my truck shakes worse than the Marlboro Man trying to quit cold turkey when I dont use it and run ULSD, and I top out aroundlow 16's. with the PS and 2stroke blend I consistantly average high 17's to low 18's.

I mainly use it to keep the shakes away
