I am running B20 right now in my 01. The truck runs smoother and quiter and I get better mileage than regular diesel with additives, plus I don't have the added cost of the additives.

If you guys can't find anything other than B100, then buy5 gallons of regular diesel and1 gallon of B100 and ytou have B20!

B20 seems to be the best mix for my truck right now. It gets the best of both worlds. You don't really have to worry about it gelling in the winter but you get the benefits of the biodiesel in your engine. Plus you just gave 20% of you money to an American company that made the bio diesel instead of some towel head terrorist in the middle east.

 

I ran biodiesel for the first time about a month ago and saw a real difference in power and noise reductionas well as mileage. If I had a local supplier for any kind of BD I'd be running it all the time. Only thing is that you have to keep an eye on your fuel filters since the detergents in BD are different than straight diesel and actually help to clean out your fuel lines and can lead to filters becoming dirty, or at least until the lines clean out.

You can, and I doubt it will cause any problems. As lilfroger mentioned, even cummins approves of B20. However, Dodge and my users manual specifically states that only B5 is approved. What this means is that even if B20 works, I'm only sticking with B5 because I don't want to invalidate my warranty. If something goes wrong with the engine and I've been running B20, I don't want to take the risk that Dodge blames the fact that I'm using unapproved fuel.

 

heck. . .you can burn B100, however at that point your mileage may go down since Bio doesnt have the BTU rating #2 diesel does.

Ive got two 55 gallon drums ready to produce my own blend. . .just havent found a supplier yet(local chinese, mexican, any resturant with a fryer) that doesnt have a contract with a recycler[:@]

 

That's the exact same problem I have. Luckily I did not waste time building a fancy processor.

 

I'm waiting for my water heater to kick the bucket, fix it and use it as my reactor.

BTW, I'll replace it with one of them tankless deals
