Default dana 60 / 70 question

My '99 CTD 2500 has 3:54 gears and I'm picking up a set of 4:11 gears for it...will my present d60 & d70 carriers accept the lower (4:11) gears or will I need to get new carriers? Thanks!

You need to get the thick ring gear and pinion set for the rear axle. The carrier swap is at 3.73 for the rear but you can get a "thick" ring gear set and get by without a carrier swap. The front carrier swap is at 4.10s so your goo there.
