I put on the 5" turboback magnaflow tonight and I wondering how tight to have the belly band that conects the dwn pipe?? I used a small wrench and made it pretty snug..but left more room to tighten. I also tapped on it to try to get a good lock and i was tighting it dwn. Please give me some input....

 

If it is this style (not sure what a belly band is), then it should be around10-15 ftlbs

 

yea thats that one....i need to get a torq set then.. i tried to do it by feel and based on what i saw before i took it off.

 

Feel is good enough, I usually just use a 3/8 rachet and call it good.

 

I just went through the same thing. I kept tightening until i felt it was good, it would have just kept going. it was also a pain to get it around both ends. The mbrp worked out real nice.
