no blowoff valve. . .

the blow off valve only releases the intake pressure of a gasser when the throttle closes. this keeps from'barking' the turbo and increases longevity, it will also help keep the turbo spinning at higher speeds so you have nearly instant boost when slamming into the next gear.

we use a waste gate to keep the pressures under controll. . .when intake pressure rise to a preset level a valve in the turbine houseing opens up and allows some of the exhaust gasses to bypass the turbine to keep it from overrevving and snapping the shaft. gassers even with a BOV also use a waste gate.

the main reason we dont have a BOV. . .our engines accelerate by dumping more fuel into the cylinders, we have no butterfly tyep throttle gassers have. one last thing. . .you can 'bark' the turbo on a diesel. . .I can get mine to do it almost on command, heavy throttle and about 10-15lbs boost and let out of the throttle. . .

you can put a blow-off valve on a diesel. . .however under stock and moderate power levels it isnt realy needed. . .now, if you pushing better than 80psi I can see one needed to keep the head on when you either hit the end of the 1/4mile, or 300 feet, which ever is your game.

I would take the money you would spend on that and use it twards a downloader or chip.
