An easy way?
So, my '04 2500 CTD has a lot of play in the steering. I get to checking things and discover that the steering box seems to be the culprit. I slide under the truck to see if I can adjust it out. Sadly, any thing that might be adjustable is on top of the box, crammed right up under the bottom of the engine and the radiator, etc.
As I'm finding out with this truck, it seems just about anything small I want to do with it in terms of work ends up being a major ordeal. Spend most of the day tearing half the front end apart to get at the stuff you need to work on, then soend 5 minutes actually doing the fixes, the rst of the day reassembling everything else. Ugh...I hate that.
Anyone know of any tricks or means to get at the top of the steering box on this truck so I can adjust out the play, without hours of disassembling the front end?
