Default Amsoil use

Who here is using Amsoil and how long? I know that it's good oil and all that but I was wondering if anybody's had any problems with it besides the cost. My Cummins has about 23K and I"m thiking about switching.

I have been using Amsoil for years in all my cars and small engines. I can't think of any problems that are related to the oil. I switched my Ram over to their new DEO 5w-40 synthetic diesel oil at 1800 miles.

I've been using System 3000 HD since about 10,000 miles on mine. I now have over 80,000 and change it every 10,000 miles. The truck runs as good as new and the cold winter starting is so much easier. Cold cranking is so much improved that I don't plug it in unless it's below zero.

I ordered Amsoil for my truck and my brother's. He's changed his, but I haven't put it in yet. So far, no problems with the oil. I don't like their distribution setup, though. It is very poor marketing to only have this stuff available through local guys working out of their garages or having to order online. I had the wrong Wix oil filter come in with my oil (I ordered it all together, oil, tranny fluid, fuel, trans, and oil filters) and I tried to send them back, but there were two invoices since things were shipped separately and I returned it to the wrong warehouse. Instead of shipping it to the right warehouse, Amsoil shipped it back to me saying that they couldn't accept it because it wasn't shipped from that location. The filters were only worth about $18 and I already wasted enough time and money shipping them one time, so I've got 2 filters for something like a Mercedes bus engine sitting around. So, if you order the oil and/or filters, make sure you double check all the part numbers.
