Default oil change question

its been about 4-5 thousand miles since i changed my oil, last time i put in the walmart brand lol what do you guys use,would it be worth it to go synthetic? btw my oil right now is black lol

no i would use Valvolin Classic Blue Prenium ; however they dont sell it in many states. Its the old CI-4 formula..... I wish i could get it but i just used Delo.... Synthetic.... now thats opinion.... Sure if you have that kind of money...... Just be SURE to stay away from cheap oil filters...... WIX are the best in my opinion...

Your oil will turn black after even 100 miles. Alot of soot gets trapped within the oil but it doesnt hurt it. A lot of guys run synthetic if they are in colder enviroments or want extended drain intervals. Whatever you do, you should go with a quality oil conventional (rotella) or synthetic amsoil, redline, and others.

Our oil gets black after a couple hundred miles. if budget is a factor, I would use good ol rotella 15/40 or if you have a little more cash get the rotella synthetic both available in Gallon containers are walmart.

interesting..... I wonder why my oil doesnt go black.... I put 4,500 miles and my oil just turned a little darker but still not anything that was black.....

wow thanks guys! yeah rotella is what i have in it now, so should i change it soon since i have went 5k and its starting to get cold down here!
