Default vacation w/ my CTD

I took a week off to be with my new truck. I'm planning to change all fluids, replace radiator (leaks), adjust valves, rebuild vac pump, replace front seal, and adjust bands. Is there anything else I need to check/ adjust/ replace while I'm in there? it has 120k on the clock. Thanks in advance for any help.

a pressure gage will do the trick. . .or you can order yourself a pressure gage to mount.

I say this since the early 24 valves (read: those equipped with the VP44 injector pump) will die if the fuel pressure is not maintained. such as the pump dieing the VP44 will overheat and commit suicide.

best place to tap would bebetween the fuel filter and the VP44 injector pump. this will also act as a restriction gage and give you a better indication of when it is time to change the fuel filter.

idle you should see around 12-14+ psi. . .normal cruise anywhere from 6-10psi depending on load. full throttle should not go below 4 psi.

Thanks.I have the dreaded 53 block, so I'm cautious about upgrades. What would be a good exhaust setup if I don't plan on going over 300hp with mods? Thanks again.

many here are very happy with dumping their muffler and putting in an Aero turbine.

I see two muffler like appliances down there. Is one a resonator? converter? Will the aero replace both? Thanks again.
