Default 2004 Ram 3500 $$$$

Heyguys,

I am looking into upgrading my truck. I found an 2004 Ram 3500, single rear wheel, quad cab, Laramie package 4x4 with 37k miles. The guy is asking 29k obo. What do you guys think? It's a private owner sale.

I would check into a new one because you can find them around 34 or 35 thousand and may be able to get a better interest rate.

look to see what the build date is. . .if it is after 1/04 then you have a '600' engine, if it was built before that then it is the 305-555 engine. . .

is it an auto or a stick??? whats the gear ratio. right now I have a love hate relationship with my 4.10's. I wish I had 3.73's many times, but when I'm able to yank trees out of the ground and buildings off their foundation sled pull style it makes everything better

Maybe a tad high, but as Drew said, it depends on the options and condition. You can check ebay and cars.com for comparables and also kelley blue book for the truck with specific options and mileage.

Drew,

The truck is an auto. I will call this week and find out if it's an 04 or 04.5, along with the gear ratio.

The truck was built in Feb 04, so I got the "600" motor. It also has a 4.10 ratio.

That's a good price for a Laramie, but at Folsom Lake Dodge you can get a new 4x4 SLT quad cab with 5.9liter Cummins, for about $30K.
42K list, 4000 Dodge discount, 8000 dealer discount.
