Default diesel ULSD question

im just curious my 6.7 says to run the ultra low sulfer diesel in it. and there are about 4 or 5 places around here that sell it. but iv also seen other places taht sell diesel and they have signs saying that its its just low sulfer diesel and that it will tear up a motor that is in a 07 or later vehicle. im just curious if this is right? and what will it exactly do to the motor? also on the signs iv read it says that it is against the law if put in 07 or later? im just curious i havnt ran anything but the ulsd diesel and all, and it is a few cents more expensive as well lol. anywayz any help would be kool.

Not using the ulsd car ruin your dpf, also make sure to use low ash engine oil..

A new Federal standard (law) for diesel engine nitrous oxide, sulfur dioxide, and soot emissions went into effect in January of this year. Thus the new Cummins engine this year that we are beta testing.

From what I've heard if you run LSD in the newer trucks the high heat in the dpf pretty much creates sulfuric acid which can eat your exhaust and into your engine.
