Default dodge diesel block heater cord install instructions

I have the cord I am trying to find out where the plug is for the heater cord. A diagram or any assistance I found something that could be it above oil filter took in behind an area i can't reach into. Does nybody have a link or picture or a good explaination on where this is? Thanks first time diesel owner!

I had the same issue last year. Do a search for the heater cord and you will find lots of info and pics...

Look for your oil filter, it is less than 5 inches from there. I think there was a plastic cap covering the heater that you must remove.

I hope this pic helps... take off the inlet boot between your turbo and the aircleaner. Plug it in, and follow your heart. BTW, I have an extra cord if anyone is interested... (P/N 1-05086737AB) I ended up with an extra one when Ipurchased mine last year.

No glow plugs... you're right on about heating up the intake air... called a grid heater and thats what you're waiting for to warm up.
