Price sounds too high. I have a 99 4x4, club cab, short box, SLT, 5 speed, fifth wheel, one stage chipped, with 148,000 miles on it. Body could use some work, no rust just work dings. Interior is clean and no damages. Been tring to get 11,000 but most callers are thinking and comparing it to a gasser. Some one will come along that needs a puller. Iowa might be to far from you.

Yeah, it's too hard for me to travel very far to get/look at a truck.

Dealerships around here just seem to want too much for diesel trucks. I don't know whether they're going off book value or paying a lot at the auction, but I don't see many "deals." I'm sure these guys wouldn't go down to the kind of price you guys are suggesting is a good price. This particular dealership specializes in heavy duty trucks, they have tons of Fords, Chevies and Dodges and lots of diesels. Some have good prices, some don't, and most of what they have are automatics.

Well, I'm trying to look at stuff from private owners as well...but not finding much there either. Very few diesel trucks for sale in the paper.

My brother was looking for a diesel before I was 2 years ago and every thing he looked at was a few thousand off new, mine was close to new when I got just 23000 on it, I saved about 4 thousand off what they wanted new, but it was all I wanted and a thousand saved, is a thousandspent some where else LOL

Maybe you should rethink about going to GA and getting a good truck, fly down and drive it back and it sounds like Drew knows this truck

That price may be too high but, maybe I was looking at it through Canadian dollars... but wait ain't the Loonie at par with the Greenback? I did check out truck on nada.com and that price is for top condition truck, but nobody is forcing to pay that price, if seller won't come down ... then move on. Good luck anyways in finding what you want.
