Default Auto Start available for 08's?

I called the dealership here in Eugene Oregon last week to see if they could install a push button remote start on my new 08 6.7. He called back and said it is NOT available yet and check back in 6 months. I don't wanna wait that long, and wish I could get one by this winter. If anyone has more insight on this remote start please let me know, Thanks,

Grant

You should be able to buy a remote start kit and have it wired into your truck. As far as from the dealer I think they should have one because I'm pretty sure you can order one on the 07's

I have one installed on my 07. The dealer did when I purchased. I believe it is an aftermarket item. 08 should be the same. In fact most remote starter have a setting for Diesel. Just an simple 10 sec delay

yea, i have one on my truck and it was an after market item. im sure you will be able to fit any model on your truck and be fine. one thing i might add though.... i had one on my gas truck prier to buying diesel and it was SWEEEET! well i got one on my truck now and what ive learned was the engines so big and thick, and idle temps are not as hot as they would be in a gas. so it takes FOREVER to give any heat what so ever[:@] i wish i dident put one in my truck, instead put the money to something else because i can idle my truck for 20 minutes and still not have heat when i jump inside. but maybe the 6.7's are diffrent?!?!

6.7L is different. The exhaust brake comes on automagically to bring the engine to operating temperature almost as quickly as a gasser!
