Default Ordered MBRP Catback, questions....

Hey guys. I finally made up my mind on exhaust for my 06 CTD. I ordered a brand new MBRP catback 409SS with 5" tip for 360.00 shipped does that sound like a decent deal? Also, will it sound good if I keep my stock cat and just replace with the catback? I wanted something that had a good sound when I get on it, but stays mellow on the highway and while pulling heavy loads. Out of all the possibilities there are for our trucks I hope I made the right decision.

I have same exhaust, although mine is turbo back. It sounds great,I would remove the cat though and it will be exactly what you are looking for. I have since removed the mbrp muffler and straight piped it, but it did sound great before, I just like it that much louder now.

I have the same system and am very satisfied with it. The price seems about right, I ordered mine from diesel manor. I had a local shop do the install, and the end results were a roadkill kitty with a straight pipe in its place. The sound is a relitive thing to ask about. Mine is fine, not enough to wake the neighbors at night, but tough enough for my needs. Ya know, how ever it sounds, you'll likely get used to it.

Thanks for the help. Will the MBRP catback bolt right up in place of my old system or do I have to cut the extension pipe to fit to the cat?
