this is a stupid noob question but will a vavle body work with a 2001 5 speed manual? or are vavle body's only benefital to automatics?

 

valve body change. . . .not too hard. . .just time consumeing and takes a good bit of tranny fluid since you cannot use what you had.

valve bodies are only for auto's, us stick guy's have a clutch and syncro's

 

How are the lift pumps on the 07's? Would he be a good candidate for a FASS ??

 

It is funny you mention fluid. I have been buying a couple quarts here and there just to stock up. I figure why not. it doesn't expire.

I still say screw the valve body purchase... buy a transgo shift kit and slap it in... I found the kit for $60 bux on-line, doing the install should be easy (havent done it personally so that's about all I can say), others have done it w/o any problems...

 

Is it any good, or should he start thinking about dropping the tank now BEFORE he needs to?
