Default Question for the techs

Had the truck in the shop the other day....MIL light was on....pulled codes P2000, P2262 and P245A.

Checked the post of the full list of codes and didn't find anything in the 2000 range....is that because they changed things around for the 07.5 and the 6.7L CTD???

Just curious as to what they translate to in English...never saw any lack of performance in the truck...but the light only stayed off for a while....it came back on as I started the truck up to return home from work today....so back we go Monday am...thank goodness for warranty....

Thanks Gang,

Darryn

check with hemitruckclub.com and see if they have an '06 or '07 manual up yet... they may have the updated codes...

Do you know what flash you have? I've seen that AU takes care of the 9245A.

From what I can find:
P2000 - NOx Trap Eff Below Threshold Bank
P245A - EGR circuit issue
P2262 - turbo overboost

Don't have to much fun at the dealership

Thanks lilfroger.

I'm not sure what flash I have now...repair sheet reads, "18190402 Module, Cummins ECM-Reprogram with starscan 902 W"

I would have to look under the hood to see if they wrote down what the latest flash is....

Of course that could change on monday too....

Although did find a dealership selling bully dog chips in the parts counter.....too bad I'm leaning more towards the Edge Juice with Attitude....

P2262 got me a turbo replacement.

P245A will get you a PCM flash (version AU).

P2000 has been reported by some after getting the above work done. Possibly fixed by a forced regeneration?!?

Well, back at the dealership this am....pulled P2262 again...went through the steps...and found that the truck doesn't realize it's getting boost from the turbo....it is definately getting boost....I know the feel of a diesel without a turbo....might as well give me a hamster under the hood...I'd probably go faster...

So it is a new turbo for me....not even at 7,000 miles yet....it's a good thing I know just how good the Cummins engines are....even my old POS Ford turbo last longer than this the first time....but I wouldn't take that thing back if ya paid me....I'm sticking with the Dodge and Cummins!!!!
