Default tranny temp

hey all, i've put the camper on and i see the trans temp up a bit higher than when i'm empty, i think the camper and stuff will be about 1500 pounds, i will be towing a trailer carry weight of 2000 pounds, what is a proper high/low temp for the tranny, mine is an '07 3500, dually,5.9, 48 re, thanx.

they are too busy uhhhh checking temps as we speak!!!. I am not sure. there was a thread I can remeber vaugely like 200 is good to 210 range. I may be mistaken though. What fluid are you running and have you considered a magtec or ats pan?

I thought synthetic fluid you could run to 230F as a high limit. Come to find out that them big allisons that run synthetic can have fluid operatingtemps up to 300+F.

hey jimmy, the truck is new(13000 k) so the fluid is stock. with nothing on or pulling, i'm always at 150 or lower.
