Westach Dual Gauge

Nope, I drilled it in place on a cold engine. Vacuumed as I went and used a magnet to get out the fe filings from inside. Then tarted the engine let it idle forabout 5 minutes so that the turbocharger wasn't spinning too fast; to allow any remaining debris to blow right through the turbo.

I certainly hope you removed your exhaust manifold to drill and tap that hole for the EGT sensor. I say that only because you never mentioned it and by the way you wrote things it sounds as if you might not have. Metal shavings and turbo chargers never get along at all...

the tubing for the boost gauge does not seem like the right stuff... mine hasa compression nut on it and is tapped off the intake manifold (ATS manifold). Never had an issue with it.
Planning on posting pics of the gauge? I'd like to see day & night pics if possible...

The boost gauge is working, the EGT gauge is dead. I called and they told me to measure across the meter on posts 1-3... it should be about 8 ohms. (It's WAO) So, I'll be sending the gauge back for a replacement.
Here is a night time photo with the green filter on the lightbulb. (It is real hard to get good night photos.) It looks like it is glaring, but it really isn't. This is with the dimmer full up.

mine isnt that blurred. . . .
BTW, I also had to wire tie the hose onto the nipple. . .the first time I got onto the throttle the gage went to 0 and I heard this hissing noise under the hood
one more thing, the hose is not very tollerant of heat. . .after a while mine (about a year) decided to crack.

I called they are sending a replacement to me today.
I was worried that they would make me send the broken gauge in first. I didn't want to have an open hole with dangling wires and boost tubing when I took this gauge out. They are sending the replacement with a post paid return label to send the broken gauge back in.
Hats off to Genos!
