how good do these work? are they worth it? will my turbo be louder and how much power gains can i see? oh and how much boost can a stock turbo handle given the performance parts i have. Thanks

looks like pretty close to the same fitting they give you when you buy and edge chip. if your giving the truck extra fuel it will help.

 

i dont knw how it does but i just bought one i figured hell 20 bucks lets see so i will have it in three days and let you knw. right now all i can hit is 23 psi so who knws

 

What does a boost elbow do?

BTW, not from experience, but it looks like a crack pipe.

 

all it does is replace the orignal boost elbow with one that has a set screw to either let less or more boost pressure out of the waste gate

 

this is for the non electronic wastegates on trucks built before 04.4. 04.5's and up have electronicaly actuated wastegates.

how it works is the allen head adjusts in and out to bleed off boost pressure going to the waste gate pneumatic actuator causeing it to open later giving higher boost numbers to give you more fueling.
