The dealer is trying to tell me that the used 2006 2500 cummins has 3:73's in it.....i thought they only came with 4:10's....could this be true?

 

Yes it could have 3.73 or 4.10. PM me the vin and I will tell you what is it....

 

If it is a stick shift it can only be 3.73 if it is an auto it can be either 3.73 or 4.10.

 

Nick, Are you saying that the 6spd is not availablein front of the 4:10s anymore? You mean I cant pull stumpsfor fun!!!

 

From what I have been told, the G56 6spd has a very low gearing, and that is why it is only put with the 3.73's. I guess the G56 with 3.73's would be about the same as the 4spd auto with 4.10's.

..........and yes, pulling stumps is just one of my hobbies

 

in 05 when the G56 manual was installed 4.10's being installed with a manual went away due to the gearing. now, some 05's did have the NV5600 installed and 4.10's were an option. I know thins cause my 04.5 w/6spd has 4.10 stump pullers installed.

the auto's can have either 3.73's or 4.10's. if you have 4.10's it will tell you on the build sheet. if not you have 3.73's.

and Don. . .yes you can pull stumps straight out of the ground

 

The joy that comes from a good stump-pullin' ... a hobby so few can really appriciate. Brings a tear to my eye.
