Default Need Help

My friend has a 1997 Silverado 4x41500 with 33/12.5 16's. 80,000 milesdunlop radial rovers. He has recently has devleoped a vibration from the drivers side front tire. He immediately thought balance, had it redone, then shocks. Replaced them and then took it to a shop that said it could be ball joints as they are a little worn. had a second shop look at it and they said that not ball joints but could not pin point it. Could it be ball joints and if not what is it probably ging to be. I want to help him fix it

I would rotate the tires and see if the problem is still in the same palce to rule the tires out. If the tires are ruled out then I would check the U-Joint or CV joint on that side next. Let us know what he finds.

Raise the front end off the ground and put jack stands under the lower control arms and let the truck down. Then have a buddy pry up on the wheel and see if you can see any play in the ball joints. IFS is really bad on ball joints
