Default Home Heating Oil

OK so due to the fact i have a feeling that oil prices will not be dropping anytime soon I have a question. Is it possible to get any form of home heating oil del. so that i can run it in my 06 2500 ctd? considering where i live (ct). i rather not pay 4 dollars a gallon whitch is what i think it will come up to this winter. any advice on what i might be able to do?.

"Oct. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Natural gas fell in New York on an outlook for above-average winter temperatures, potentially trimming demand with near-record amounts of the furnace fuel already in storage. "

hopefully heating oil will follow that lead.. i'm not sure where to find the info on inventories ofheating oil in storage.. B5 ULSD just went up to $3.21 here today :\

Home heating oilis low sulfur500ppm diesel fuel. It is dyed because it is free from state and federal road taxes. Depending on the tax rate in your state it will be about 60-75 cents cheaper than taxed fuel. Some stations actually sell it in a pump for people to take back to their homes or farms. It is illegal to use in a highway vehicle and the fines are pretty heaftysome states areover $1000.00 for personal use and $10,000 for commercial use.I have accidently ran it in my truck without any complications.

I thought HHO was #1 diesel. that would NOT be good to run in your truck.

It's all the same where I'm at. Same truck puts fuel in my off road tank and the neighbors basement heating oil tank. All #2. They blend it in the winter. Before Aug 2007 it was high sulfur 2500 ppm. Now it is all LSD.

DON'T get caught w/ it in your tank.Fines are HIGH.It is dyed red so if they ever check you they can tell right off if you are using it.That being said your chances are small unless they check your fuel supplier. So if you buy around nobody will have records of your high home oil use. Also do not tell anyone.

#1 is kerosene.
#2 is just diesel.
Be careful putting that stuff in your tank, as said before there are stiff penalties for
useing offroad fuel or home heating fuel on the highway.

Oh yeah the dyed stuff smokes a little more than normal
