Default Would a BULLYDOG PMT raise fuel mileage

I have a 2004.5 dodge ram 2500 CTD 4X4 quad cab. I have enough power to pull my camper now but was wanting something to add a little juice maybe and especially add fuel mileage (when not towing). Would a PMT do this? as I see it i can leave it on low setting 1 or 2 (as ill never need 3 or 4 or crazy larry ever).would 1 and 2 boost fuel mileage or would i be better off getting something else? I do like the aspect of also seeing egt, boost psi, tranny temp etc....(which pmt has)

I have the bully dog system power pup with outlook moniter and it is great i run it mainley on performance and see a constant gane of 2 miles to the gallon the power and performance is awsome. All the different tools it offers made it the only choice for me with the ability do download other programs and take totall controe of the cpu. I have other freinds running every thing from the performance edge to the power puck and they all want a bully dog now that i run one!

I run a power puck and I have seen about a 1 mpg increase on the 60 hp setting. I don't get any gain on the 90 hp setting. Just FYI.
Also, the increase in power is noticable on both settings.

I have a 2007 Dodge Cummins 5.9, I installed the Bullydog PMT a few months ago and am getting a full 5 mpg more on my quad cab long bed. 23 mpg goin 75 mph on a flat highway with cruise control on. It's pretty impressive. I get the most mileage when I have it on the the 'extreme setting' (+ 140 hp). The only other thing I have on there is a S&B intake.

Are you hand calculating mileage? if not you need to... the overhead computer is referred to as the lie-o-meter. the pcm doesnt know about the extra fuel that is being added so it gets better & better on the lie-o-meter when in fact it's only getting a little better.

welcome to DF...

I have found the Bullydog to have given me a little over 1 mpg additional across the board unloaded on the "tow" setting. The Hp increase is noticeable from the slightest of throttle coming off the line. I have been running my Triple Dog wtih Outlook monitor since Nov. '04. So far, I have logged 80,000 miles using the programmer. The updates have been seamless....and the operation glitch free. Awarning to those without guages! An EGT guage at the very least is a must. Even running at the lowest added power setting, running your EGT's "too high" is relatively easy.
Cheers
Mike

Note: no lie-o-meter mileage calculations here, hand calculated only! And IMHO, at $1000, the PMT is overpriced.
