it appears i have lost a remote entry key.. the one with unlock, lock and panic.. does anyone know about how to replace one.. i guess the dealer has to program the remote for the truck.. i just wonder how much one is?

 

you can go to a locksmith and they can order it if they dont stock it. other wise, yea the dealer could make one quick like .

 

you can buy the blanks on E-Bay - - then you can have it cut to match. I think it takes two keys to do the home program so you'll probably end up at the dealership anyhow. Might not be the cheapest way to get it done but then at least you only have to go one place.

Witht hat what am I looking at for cost's at a locksmith?

 

Dealer should be able to make one from your VIN number.....about $75

i went to the dealer today and the key is $169 cut and a program fee of $37 ... over $200 for a dang truck key...the local locksmith is at $199 ..man this is a nightmare...
