got a squeeky front left brake pad at 28K miles, seems a little early to me. Any thoughts? Mostly city driving with several tow trips per year with a 5K trailer.

Stick your head under there and see if it is the wear indicator. I had a set of pads on our old Alero, put them on and 10,000 miles later the wear indicator was squeeking. Stupid bastards put extra long ones on there, I still had over half the pads left. They bank on mechanical idiot who will just take it somewhere to get ripped off. If it is the wear indicator and there is still plenty of pad left just give it a slight bend back off the rotor.
