I have thought about it, I am not a proffesionaly welder, but I thought I could mock something up and then take it somewhere and have them weld me up the real deal. It could definitely be cheaper, especially if then I just had i line-x'd instead of powder coated.

I really like the TrailReady bumpers. When I was in Afghanistan last year we had a few armored Chevy Suburbans that had TrailReady front bumpers(w/ winch)installed. They are really thick and durable. Once I had to PIT a hajji (local guy) in a Toyota who was acting hinkey; the bumper wasn't even scratched. Another guy in our unit got in an accident where he was going about 30 MPH andt-boned a Toyota Land Cruiser. The Suburban had zero damage because of the heavy bumper. Don't ask about the Land Cruiser!
