Default practical application

hey guys.

next summer ill be lookin around for a new car or truck. i love diesels, and i really want one. but im not sure if its practical for me. ive heard before that its not good to use diesels for short trips around town. is that true? most my driving will be to and from college, about 230 miles (each way, and i would be making that drive fairly often). then during the summer and while at school it would be short trips around town. assuming i could find one i could afford, would it make sense to get a cummins? thanks guys.

as long as ya take the diesel for a drive in the country once in a while, a cummins should be fine

you will be able to find one on a web site such as autotrader.com and you will find 2 gens on used lots, but like jimmy said, you most likey wont find one on a dodge lot and if you do it will be the same price as the one you find on jims lots, or toms lot, or grandville used car lot, ect but practical, OF CORSE! i mainly use my truck for shorts runs and only sometimes work it but i think alot of us guys & gals (lilfroger) here use it for personal. i wouls say go for it if you can afford it! and to answer your question "would it make sense to get a cummins?"........ NO, get the powerstoke, its a lot better engine[:-]

ARE YOU KIDDING?!?!?! lol, you are in a cummins forum!
