RE: Truck problem picking up NEW TOY...
good word there nick! i plan on looking for that grease tomarrow at an auto zone or somthing along those lines and see if they will maybe be able to clear the codes for me, if not ill have to find someone that will. that was scary like you said, i seen the codes and then i found out what they were and both of them sounded real bad. im just glad it was fixed with unplugging my XZT... i almost thought i was going to be stranded on the way home yesterday..... that was a much more scarey feeling[]

Before I bought the ram I had a ferd that was throwing codes. I bought a cheap ($25) code reader off ebay. It will read codes and clear them.

Let the codes stay until you find someone with a code reader that will clear them. I think the auto parts guy was full o ****e, cause I have read several guys going to their favorite auto parts store and having codes read and cleared. BTW, if you know someone with a Smarty programmer they can clear them for you too.

Re: clearing codes... I asked an AutoZone guy once if he could clear the codes out of my F150 (in a previous non-Cummins life). He said "no" as he handed me the reader and pointed to the delete button... apparently it's a policy issue with the parts stores. He couldn't, but I could.
