Default I'm buying a diesel

But not a Cummins. Cummins is still the best, but I can't find anything for a reasonable price. It is like they are gold. Anyway. I am going to do a swap on my 75 Chevy 3/4 ton gasser with a 6" lift and 35" tires and I am swapping in a 6.5TD. I know I know, it is a Chevy, but I have always wanted a diesel even if it is a Chevy. Look at the bright side, at least it isn't a Powerchoke

One day......I am going to buy my dream truck......a real mans truck.......A CUMMINS!!!!

that 6.5TD is a complete boat anchor that cannot get out of it's own way. . .your best bet would be to find a 4BT and toss it in. . .I think you can find one for around 2K

Just find you a frito lay truck with the 4bt pull the motor and sell the aluminum off the truck that would be your best route and you get a Cummins
one guy at the SC dyno day had a chevy with a 4bt out of a bread truck. . .thing made 106hp at the wheels. this in a 4dr 2wd long bed dualy that gets nearly 30mpg.
