Stealership fixed it
My truck would not turn over last monday morning when I got in it to go to work. I called them and they towed it to the stealership. They had it Monday and Tuesday. I called Tuesday night and they told me they could not find anything wrong with it. It did not start when it first got there but when they sent a mechanic out to work on it, it started. They tried starting it many times on Tuesday and it started everytime. So I went and picked it up on Wednesday. I drove it all day Wed. and Thurs. I drove it to work on Fri. but when I got in it to drive home it would not start. ( It would not do anything, no click , would not turn over, radio and dash lights worked but no start ) I called them back and they towed it in again. They checked it as soon as it got to the dealer and it would not start. They said the wireless module that checks the chip in the key was bad. (part of the ignition) They would have a part on Tues and get it fixed. I called Tuesday night and they said they put the wireless module in and it still won't start. They think the starter shorted out and burned up the ignition module. So Wed. they are going to put a starter on it. Wednesday came and they put a starter on it and all is well so far. I got it back Wed night and it is still working good. The truck is only 4 months old and has only 3000 miles on it.
The dealer invoice says Labor $154.00 Wireless Module $56.00 and Starter $903.00
I hope that starter lasts a long time for $900
