I had a code of P1693 (DTC Detected in companion JTEC Mod)can someone explain this in a little plainer english for me.

It means that the powertrain control module(JTEC) has found a diagnostic trouble code stored in another module on the truck.. It is wanting you to look in other modules to see if there are codes in them...

It also showed P0118, I guess this goes along with P01693.

P-0118 ECT SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
When Monitored: With the ignition on and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts.
Set Condition: The engine coolant temperature sensor circuit voltage at the PCM goes above 4.98 volts for more than 3 seconds
Possible causes:
ECT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
ECT SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR DEFECTIVE
ECT SENSOR WIRING HARNESS INTERMITTENT DEFECT
ECT SENSOR WIRING HARNESS OBSERVABLE DEFECT
PCM DEFECTIVE (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
