Default speaker pics

Okay, I took the door panel back off and took some pics of the new speakers. I also got a shot of the subs, the box fits in the cavity under the back seat and the seat goes down flush. I also have a new pic of me and my little helper, lol. It wouldnt let me post them here so I put them in my gallery if anyone wants to see them,,, if you have any questions, ask away.

did you run those speakers off the stock radio? i wa thinking about doing somthing like you did but keeping everything else stock..... you think it would be worth the upgrade in speakers without an amp or new cd player?

I still have the stock as it's Sirius capable. The new speakers sound awesome. I will eventually change the deck, which will provide more power to the speakers and give a little better quality sound. The Kickers are of very good quality and being 3-way, I get really good, clear, crisp sound out of them, much better than factory.

there aren't sub pre-outs on the factory deck are there? how did you send signal to the subs? did you add a modulator with rca to your deck or were you able to wire in from the optional factory sub harness?

I cut into the rear speaker feed and ran off to an RCA converter. I didn't pull the deck out, but doubt there is feed for a sub, thoughI could be wrong. When I change the deck, I'm gonna feed the amp and subs from the sub outputs on the deck so that I can control the subs from the deck. Yeah,, that was a mothful, lol. If you're gonna do a system add-on, It would be easier to just do it all at once.

yeah, easier to do it all at once, i know. its just that i *just* finished doing my system for my rubicon and cant justify buying everything again so soon! i have yet to decide how badly i need new speakers in the ram. i haven't been able to hear the factory ones yet as my truck is still in the mail![:@]its getting shipped to me in tx from a dealership in NC. soon though!! they are picking it up this morning!! (of course thats what they told me monday[>:])
