Default Help with Buying/Price!

Purchasing a 2007 2500 5.9L SLT. Pretty standard config other than the GPS/nav, infinity stereo and alum wheels. The MSRP on this guy is $48,410. They quoted me over the phone...$41,414. Can I get them to go lower?

Will this 5.9L be better than my 2005 F250 6L? mileage, drivability?

I think most guys are getting about at least $10k off sticker. I got $11k of mine and was happy $44k-$33k. Didn't think there were any 5.9's left maybe that's why they want a little more.

Yeah, I say it's a tad high for an 07 even if it is a 5.9. I agree with behindbars with rebates and dealer incentives you should be looking at about $10K off MSRP. I do think you have more buying power in person. Prices over the phone aways seem high to me in my experiances. If you are actually at the dealer talking price and you start to walk, you'd be surprised at how much more they are willing to deal.

10K off is a pretty good rule of thumb, a little more is possible though (assuming no trades and all that crap). However, if you found a 5.9L still, equiped the way you want,I wouldbe happy just to have found one .

The dealer here still has an truck just like mine in black and auto, don't know how, but I pass by it every other day, it is a beautiful machine. Iwanted a 6spd manual, so I took whatever color I could find before it was too late.

Oh my, just wait and see. It will be a world of a difference. We have an 05 f350 PSD, and it is a complete dog compared to my truck, it is like night and day. I couldn't be happier with my truck.

paid $33K for mine. You should be able to do better. Mine stickered for $45 (I think). If you can get a loan before getting there for a set amount you can go it like you have cash. That'll talk to them.

When I bought mine I went onto Dodge's web site and asked for a dealer quote. A week later I got a "Take an extra 1000 off" coupon in the mail from Dodge. Can't hurt to try.
