Default RE: Anyone have a fifth wheel hitch installed??

I have a Hi Jacker 16K hitch. Had it removed from my `05 Ram 2500 and put into my new `07.5 Ram 3500. You sure better have bolted and not welded. The install kit makes it very easy for an RV dealer to do the install. Takes 1 personabout 3 hours to do it the right way. I wouldn't want to heat the frame up to those tempts. in the welding process. Have it bolted.

I've always heard it was bad to weld to the frames of trucks... don't wanna create a weak point... even more so if your beloved home away from home is hanging on by that point...

If you have a short bed get a Super Glide. It is an auto slide and you will never be unhappy with it. I love mine.
