Yeah they are really bright and crisp, much better than the regular bulb type.

Did your truck have the cab lights from the factory? Mine doesn't but I've been wanting to put those on it. Just didn't know how they would look. LOOKS GREAT!!!

of bejezuz I like that.. I didn't like the way amber lights looked against these body styles but the smoked lights almost just hide away when not lit.. I gotta get me some, especially after finding out how easy they are to install... Add that one to the winter mod list.

No, mine did not come with factory cab lights..... that was they most time consuming part of the install (working up the courage to drill 15 holes in the roof a 40k dolar truck ).

I put them on my old '99 but I bought the factory kit since it came with a template for the roof. I was also not looking forward to drilling holes but if you have a template, you really can't go wrong. Learn from my mistake and don't put too much pressure on your elbows while you're leaning on the roof...it looked like hail damage! I got one of the lights just slightly off center when I drilled and the only way you could tell is if you looked from an elevated position straight down at the roof. Looking from the front, your eye give alot of room for error. Good DIY project and helps to boost confidence to do more DIY stuff!

i know quite a few people who have put them on without any leaking problems... i drilled my holes considerably smaller than reccomended because i didnt have factory lights so i drilled just enough to get my wires through to be extra safe... also i know a couple people used cilicone... just be careful and you should have no worries!
