Default Billet Shaft ?

At what power levels is itnecessary to upgrade to billet shafts? Does the 2wd trucks use output shafts too?

I think hes talking about the input shaft, anything 100 HP over stock from what Ive been told, input shaft to the trans...out put to the drive shaft and rear wheels

the stocker will hold at 100hp over stock. . .but for how long is the question. . .you can only do so many 10-15# bosted launches before it snaps.

the input shaft is a pain to get to since you ahve to remove the transmission. . .I believe the output shaft can be gotten to without the removal of the tranny.

if you upgrade the torque converter I would strongly advize upgradeing to the billet input shaft sicne your already in there.

What about the intermediate shaft? Do I need to upgrade that to?

The reason I asked about the output shaft is because when I looked at the ATS Diesel site, they only had output shafts for 4wd trucks.
Thanks for the replys

What about manual transmissions? Anyone ever broken an input or output shaft on an NV 5600?

billet input and intermediate should be replaced ig going about 150-200hp over stock. the output shat can be installed without removing the tranny, if something ever happens to it.
