The only flaw I can find with my 07 Ram is the lack of interior lighting. There are no floorboard lights or lights for the middle console area (I have the 4x4 shifter on the floor). Mine is the Lone Star Edition. Do other models have these lights but not the loneStar?
I haven't been to the dealer to examine other trucks so maybe you guys can enlighten me. I would like to find the stock lighting and install it if there is such a thing.
This is first truck I have ever had that has no lights down there.I am a smoker and it is very hard to smoke in the dark when you can't see the ashtray!!

 

overhead is all you get. I have a Laramie that has the center console. The only lights are in the consoles compartments. If yours is anything like the ashtray that came with mine.... it's made for the cup holder and not very big anyway. You can always use the window :-)

 

Man thats crazy! I guess I need to start looking at an aftermarket solution then. The only time I get to drive my truck in the daylight is on the weekends. I work 6:00 to 6:00. Wonder why they thought no one needed lights down there??

 

probably because there's several options you can get when it come to the center console. A glowing ashtray is the trick

 

i know i've seen little l.e.d. stick lights that plug into your cigarette lighter that would be perfect for what you are looking for... i'll try to find a link

If I go aftermarket, I'll pay a shop to wire it into my dash lights. That way when the lights are on (driving at night) , the console light will be on.
