2007 5.9 won't run
it would behove you to call David at http://www.onealdodge.com/
He's a member here and has been very helpful with many of us. It would be a 4 hour drive for you but, if all else fails... it's worth a shot.
I'd give him a call anyway to see what he might be able to tell youy from a dealers stand point.

Cummins just put out a service bulletin on Oct 31 stating fuels to be used in Cummins engines. Seems they aren't playing when it come to warranties anymore. Fuel for Cummins engines

Check this out. I believe this is referring to the use of 2 stroke:
Mixing of engine lubricating oil
In some fuel systems, engine lubricating oil and diesel fuel are used in close proximity to each other for lubricating and sealing purposes. This interface is a function of fuel pump and/or injector design. Under certain operating conditions, a small amount of lubricating oil can mix with the diesel fuel and be returned to the tank, causing the fuel to appear dark in color. It takes a very small amount of lubricating oil (less than 0.1 percent) to cause the fuel to become visibly darkened. This small amount of oil in the fuel will have no adverse affects on engine performance, durability, reliability, or emission levels.
Call me tomorrow at work, or PM me your phone number and I will call you tonight..... I may not be able to help you but I will try to lead you in the right direction......
Brett, After our conversation today I did some research. There is a way to shut down each injector to see which one is the problem. If they are willing to replace just one, there are 2 ways to find the bad injector. One is using the star scan to shut down the injectors 1 at a time. My diesel tech said that the best way is to CAP off the injectors one at a time to find the bad one. There is a cap made just for doing this. I also found a few numbers/email address that might be helpful. Call me if you want them or if I can explain the procedures to you.
Just wanted to give an update on my truck. Yesterday morning the dealer's district manager said he would cover 1 injector if that is all it needed. At 5 pm I still hadn't heard from them so I called. The service manager told me all 6 injectors were bad again and the dm said they would cover it. I picked it after work today and so far so good. Will drive some more tomorrow. I still had to pay for the pumpout and flushing the system out. But that is a lot better than what it could have been. Thanks for all the help and input. David, I will definately hang on to your #. And triton, thanks for the link to the website for the gauge pods. Gonna order some Monday.
