4 or 5 extra gallons by putting breather tube in??? What is this you guys are talking about?Where is the extra space for fuel?

Can someone explain?

there is an area in the tank that is used for fuel expansion... the vent is lower than that area. the vent kit installs the vent at the highest point on tank so you can fill that area with fuel.

Just don't fill it to the rim, then drive 1/2 mile and let it set in the sun on a 100+ degree day. I did and found out the hard way what happens.

Interesting. How much does a full tank of diesel expand and spill? A quartsor 2 or so? Will it self relieve or can it cause damage to the tank?

Sorry no I don;t but, it's pretty simple. Just put a long hose on, put that filter on the end and strap it up somewhere that doesn't get direct
water splashed on it.
Yea, but do you have to drill like the other kit or is there a fitting that you just hook onto?
