Default Transmission Temperature Gauge Install

I am hoping that someone here has installed a temperature sending unit on a 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel. I would like the temperature sending unit installed in a pressure port on the transmission or directly in the line from the Transmission going to the cooler. If someone has already done this install I would greatly appreciate any pictures or recomendations that you could give to me. I have a new Transmission pan coming and I am also going to install a temperature gauge there as well. I am installing the gauge before adding the pan to collect data. The two sending unit set-up will tell me max. transmission temperature and how efficient my cooler is working. I will do a write up and take pictures when I do the install for anyone else who wants to do the same modification. Lastly I am looking at westech's - 2" universal Dual Temperature Gauge. I am going to wire two switches to switch from monitoring transmission temperatures precooler and postcooler, switch to preturbo EGT and postturbo EGT. Has anyone ever tried this before.

here you go.... cooler line with sender port

I don't see the need to monitor the trans temp at 2 locations. You'll get the readings you ant to see using that line. Or, you could install a trans pan with a port in it.

Thank you for the pic and part Triton. If I monitor in Precooler and Postcooler I will know if the cooler starts losing its efficiency and the new Transmission Pan comes with a Temperature sending port also.

I've been thinking about installing tranny, pyro, and boost gauges...Whats the best place to put in the Pyro, pre orpost turbo orboth...?

Also what are the "safe zones" for these temps and pressures?

Hey Triton I pulled up the link that you sent earlier, but now I can not pull it up again to print it out and call to order the line. Can you help or maybe their site is down.
