I recently got a 93 d 250 with a cummins and i noticed the oil pressure drops all the way to zereo and then rises up to normal pressureduring start up? is this normal or is it a sign the oil pump is going out? It seems like it runs kind of low when it idles but normal during driving?

welcome to the 1ST GEN LIFE!!! ![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
yes, my 93 ctd does the same. its an instrument reset.
remember not to shiftinto gearbefore it shows full oil presure.
you said it seems to run "low" at idle, then oil pressure is fine during driving. have the FI PUMP turned up a notch![Wink](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
you will also experience better throttle response time with it.
how many miles does it have?
I just rounded 350000k!!
please feel free to ask all the questions on it. I have learned a lot on the 1st gen 12valve
