Default Hard starts

Well after 4 visits to the dealership they finally diagnosed my problems etting my truck started. The injectors were leaking fuel back. This is after 3 diffeent diagnosis everything from algae in the tank to batteries. What would cause the injectors to fail at 60k? Hopefully I can start to enjoy the truck now that it runs.

its an 03 2500. I dont use the signatures in case the dealership has someoe that might belong to the forum. No need to let them know what I got in the truck. You never know who might be lurking.

Not sure what the answer to your question is. Probably a combination of things would cause the injectors to fault at 60k. Bad luck, ULSD(heard since the switch more injectors are being replaced), etc....orto give you agood excuse to upgrade sooner than later!?

The common rail engines have had some injector issues. Mine had a one that was leaking down over night causing white smoke and poor economy at way less mileage and age of truck. I personnaly think that our fuel filters are not good enough, and that the inectors are not up to snuff either. I have been in the plant whereour CP-3 pumpsare manufactured ( not sure if they do our injectors too, they did do the Duracrap injectors there though), lets just say I was not impressed with the quality of the people working there.

I have cold start issues. Was your problem constant or mostly cold?

It was every once in a while at first. I would pull the fuel filter and it would reprime. But after a while this wouldn't work anymore. It eventualy got worse to where it would do it if the truck was cold or warm. This started back in May so I don't think the temps had anything to do with the fuel. truck starts right up now before it would take a few times cranking when it got worse it would suck the battery dry if you kept cranking.

$55.09 each atmakeitmopar.com. Even though I hate throwing parts and $$$at something that may not be the problem. Maybe the intake heater? No waranty. $90.00 just to have it scaned! Mine is an 03 as well.
