Instructions are for sissies PART 2 TURBO INSTALL
I finnaly had some time to install my turbo...
well it took long cuz i didnt bring the instruction and left them home so...
i now know i need to slip the exaust tube in place first else u have to remove the turbo to gain clearance,
i also know that i should have drained the coolant before doing so,cuz i seem to have lost about 1/2 gallon no more of coolant and resulted in 1 full gallon of coolant and 1 full gallon of water to had into the engine...
i also learned that i shoul slip the oil drain in place or since the tube is solid and wont bend i cant get it back to place after the turbo is bolted in....
i also lost a metric nut on the stud who hold the turbo in place so i had to find one in town at 4:45PM just 1/4hr before store closing....
BUT i got 45LBS of boost now,now i know why the engine can rev over 2200rpm withc i never used much before, now when the redline come id wish i still can rev higer before shifting
i know that even in 4x4 and dry asphalt the truck is spining around when i mash the throttle hard
i know that im gonna meet some cops soon, cuz im looking for on rpm, boost and egt gauge
even at full throttle i didnt see higher than 900 on hot setting on my hyperpac
i know i must find some time to install my edge comp
i know that im gonna empty really fast some tank of fuel before becoming acustomed and buying the other part of the twin turbo
I KNOW IM IN LOVE WHIT THIS THING EVEN IF I DIDNT DRIVE ON HIGWAY YET WHIT IT!!!!

What did you loose coolant from[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]? Last I checked there are no coolant lines running to the turbo on the vp44 engine.Any way careful with that 45lbs of boost. Keep an eye on your coolant level as you are pushing that stock headgasket to its limits

i lost coolant from a line that i had to unplug to remove the exaust manifold cuz a nut was stripped on the stud whitch secure the turbo to the manifold .
Ur right no coolant line to turbo
And for headgasket its not around 50+lbs thats becoming more critical?
do i need to switch to headstud and strange name head gasket?
and if so its look like a time consuming job to do right?

Your on the border line of needing to swap to studs and a better gasket. Head gasket is a time consuming job. I don't think I would get to crazy with the edge. Drive it around a bit before stacking the edge. Get under some heavy loads and see how it takes it before stacking. I think you will be fine without the edge, but once you stack it you might have trouble.

be fine?
comon jake can u really be fine?
i mean as soon i mashed the throttle i knew it wont be long before the twin will come aboard
i cant wait to stack the edge and my once great 100hp stick arent that great anymore since i got no more black smoke so i have to cram more fuel into the engine
is the stud will do the trick or i need to swap the gasket?
and for the stud can i remove 1 bolt at time and screw the stud in place or i need to replace the gasket anyway
if im changing to studs?
