new 6.7 diesel mpg problem

That is very interesting. Do you have any more information on that "factory breakin programming"? I know the manual said to expect mileage and performance to increase over the first 10k miles but I did not know that was a programming issue. I just figured it was a mechanical break in. Where did you get that information?
Thanks

I have not heard anyone else say that either. Not that I don't beleive you but what do you have that backs that up or supports it? I think it would be an interesting read. Learn something new every day

Same thing here getting around 15 or so city and about the same on the highway. Just breaking it in now with 200 miles on teh clock. Happy about city mpg have to wait to see if dissappointed on highway miles
if your after mileage... hold off until I do a "no programmer run" in my mpg testing... should be coming up soon. I'm going to hate driving it that way as power will go way down but I need to do it. also, I'm planning on doing a #1 std program test on the TST as well. It's been suggested that it is the best for mileage. I would tend to dis-agree at this point, I never got anything better than high 17's with it, now on 2/2/e, I'm into the 18's... with more power on top of it.
