I had a REEEEEEALY pokie computer a few weeks ago, but then Froger hooked my up and helped me troubleshoot my problem and things have definately speeded up a bit. Turns out a had a dead Ram ( believe it or not ). Bumped up from 512 to 2G and things are moving along well, however I will add that some days here are worse than others and yeah, it's definately this site along with the Harley site.

 

I have the same problem intermittently too but I'm usually multitasking anyway so it's not a big deal. (It is hard to type with only your left hand though[&:])

 

What's your right hand busy doing ??

The problem has definitely been on this site's end, or the server it's hosted on, or the switch it's connected to, or the router that's connected to, or the backbone link that's connected to...

Today I was having a lot of page loading issues, was kind of odd - the page would partially load just fine, get the upper section of the forum bar loaded, and then would hang for awhile. It almost seemed like it hung the most when the banner advertisement was about to load, or when it would dive into the SQL database to pull the forum data. I'm more familiar with vBulletin v3.6.x than the software version here so I couldn't provide more technical details...

 

I downloaded them both and am trying them out. Seems to be way better already. Much faster on most pages. The pages that were really slow are still slow to open completely. However with the firefox they will open partially as they download so I can start reading the top down as it comes up. Much bettter than a blank page. Thanks

 

Not to dredge up old threads, but Firefox didn't help much with this site, so I looked at the loading url at the bottom of the page, and it always said "pagead2.googlesyndication.com" when it was slow to load, so I Googled the term and found that if you install an ad blocker extension in FF, it loads really fast now. It's like night and day.

 

Try adding ad block plus to your firefox. You can get it from their site. There's like 16 ads on each one of these pages. blocks them all.

 

maybe its a us of a thing cuz up here in canada well at least in vancouver i got it fast fraction of a second and a page is loaded.
