Default 2001 Wheel Cylinder ? for you CTD owners

Hey guys,

I know you all have more experience with upgrading braking components with all the hauling you guys do so here's my question and hopefully you will have an answer for me.

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 that I've been wanting to upgrade the brake system on. Burning Rom's post on upgrading rear wheel cylinders looks like a good idea, but there's a small problem, the 2001 ram 1500 seems to use a different wheel cylinder that has a flat 1" bore where the older versions had a 15/16th" bore and 1 1/16th" bore for the 1 tons. Moreover, the 2001 Ram 3500 wheel cylinder is the exact same one (1" bore) so I can't even upgrade to the "HD" version for a matching 2001 part.

Have any of y'all had luck using the GMC or chevy 1 ton wheel cylinders witha 2001 that Rom posted a while back? Just checking to see if the swap will still work, as I don't have a pre-2000 part to compare with.

Thanks for the help guys!
